We were approached by the new owner who bought this property for the love of the stunning listed Japanese garden. The garden had fallen into disrepair and has since undergone an expansive programme of restoration.

The main house, a timber framed construction from the 1960’s, was deemed to be too costly to effectively modernise and a strategy was agreed to design a new home more befitting of the setting and one that opens up the site rather than acting as a blocking element.
